GIGABYTE Malaysia has announced the availability of new motherboards carrying the B660 and H610 chipset for Intel’s 12th Gen Core CPUs.
Designed for providing all the essential features and some of the high-end goodies, the B660 and H610 motherboards contain up to 16+1+1 phases DrMOS of VRM design with each of them holding up to 60A while being fully covered with a chonky heatsink and thermal pad with high conductivity (For AORUS models mostly). A very important note to pay attention is that while the chipsets support DDR5, the announced boards this time is only DDR4 but that doesn’t stop them from harnessing the hybrid power of the 12th Gen Intel Core processors. And of course, being the mid-tier products to bring the most value out of every buck, the dual PCIe slots are 4.0 with up to 7GBps transfer speeds and also support RAID. Connectivity-wise, the B660 AORUS, and GAMING series models are using 2.5GbE for faster wired connection and WiFi 6 for the wireless part and when it comes to external expansion, selected B660 boards to utilize the USB-C 3.2 Gen2x2 20Gbps for more efficient transmission speed across portable storage devices.
