We all know about Dell’s rebrand, and the monitors are also affected – somewhat. We now have three monitors – two from the UltraSharp series and another one from the new Dell Plus monitor series. Yeah, that’s the naming scheme that Dell is going for and the UltraSharp remains as a series within the monitor lineup.
The new Dell UltraSharp monitor comes in two sizes – Dell UltraSharp 32 4K Thunderbolt Hub and Dell UltraSharp 27 4K Thunderbolt Hub monitors – both of these monitors have enhanced IPS Black Technology with 3000:1 contrast ratio for 47% deeper blacks. It also has low-blue light certification by TUV Rheinland Eye Comfort 3.0, and also ambient light sensors to adapt to the environment, alongside low reflectance for better glare control. Plus, these monitors have 120Hz refresh rate too!
Since they are both Thunderbolt monitors, they are equipped with a Thunderbolt 4 port with up to 140W of USB-PD, USB-C ports, RJ45 port, and also 15W front-facing ports.
As for the Dell 32 Plus 4K QD-OLED monitor, it dons the new rebranded name and the Dell 32 Plus 4K QD-OLED monitor now comes with a 4K resolution with QD-OLED backlighting. It also has AI-enhanced 3D sound with head-tracking technology so the sound coming out from the speaker will – in theory – wrap around your head.
This is also a 120Hz monitor that supports AMD FreeSync Premium and ultra-low 0.03ms response time for gamers who want the best audio-visual experience from the monitor.
There is no price or availability as of now, so do stay tuned for further details. Personally, I do like Dell monitors and I am using the UltraSharp U4021QW right now. Niche monitor for a niche group of users – sure, but it’s such a great monitor.
