A few months ago, Acer had a keynote where they showed off a bunch of new stuff and showed off their brand new lineup of products, brands, and general direction of where they are heading. From there, Acer announced ConceptD, a new brand of products that are solely aimed towards the creators.

Acer’s ConceptD lineup of products now range from laptops to desktops to monitors, and even some accessories like mouse and mousepads. We have actually talked about the Acer ConceptD lineup of products since its launch, but we are here to touch and feel them for ourselves.

The first thing that caught our eyes is the ConceptD 9 laptop. Obviously, this is something special since this is indeed a laptop but with beefy specs and an interesting screen too. It is somewhat like a combination of the older Dell XPS 12 convertible laptops with a drawing tablet. Acer made the hinge so beefed up that you can draw on it at any angles you like, and the hinge would hold.

Upon further inspection, we also found out that Acer built in a bulky cooling system as well. The gap between the screen and the keyboard is an array of perforations and we can see the heatpipes in there too.

This cooler is working hard to cool down the Intel Core i9 and the NVIDIA RTX 2080 GPU that is found inside. Since the Acer ConceptD 9 is made for creators, it also has Pantone certification with 100% Adobe RGB at 4K resolution. Of course, it supports Wacom EMR Pen as well.

Continuing the ConceptD laptop lineup is the ConceptD 7. It is a rather thin laptop (relatively) but it packs an NVIDIA Quadro GPU. This is contrary to what was first announced, because NVIDIA only announced the mobile Quadro GPUs recently.

The ConceptD 7 packs in an Intel Core i7-9750H with an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 5000 Max-Q which is impressive since the entire body of the laptop is rather thin.

All new ConceptD laptops can do this, by the way.

Moving down to the ConceptD 5 is a laptop that is unbelievably thin and light, yet powerful. It packs an Intel i7-8705G which actually has an AMD Radeon RX Vega M GL graphics in it. The performance of that GPU is somewhat in between the NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 and GTX 1050 Ti, as shown in this review from our partner.

The best part of the Concept 5 is obviously, how thin and light it is. I can lift it up with one hand with ease.

Then comes the desktops. Starting off with the ConceptD 900, this is their top of the line pre-built desktop for content creators, packing dual Xeon Gold 6148 CPUs that total to 40 cores. It can also pack an NVIDIA Quadro RTX 6000 graphic card in it, alongside with up to 60TB of storage.

Connected to the ConceptD 900 is the ConceptD CM7321K monitor, a 32-inch 4K IPS LCD display that has a beautiful circular, dome-like wooden base. This display is Pantone-validated with Delta E <1, covers 99% Adobe RGB, VESA certified DisplayHDR 1000, and has 1152 local dimming zones.

The next desktop system caught my eye from afar – and that is the ConceptD 500. The specs of it are not that beefy – just an Intel Core i9 with NVIDIA Quadro RTX 4000 GPU. But it comes with a beautiful white body with a wooden top.

To prevent dust from entering the ports, Acer designed a special little cover that plugs into the two 3.5mm audio jacks. And it even has wireless charging!

The display that is connected to the ConceptD 500 is the ConceptD CP3271K P that covers 90% of DCI-P3 color space with Delta E <1 and also with Pantone validation. It also has VESA certification of DisplayHDR 400. On a side note, this is a 4K resolution 144Hz panel.
