The Retro Recipes YouTuber has recently announced the full acquisition of Commodore Corporation BV and its 47 original trademarks, with everything having been finalized and paid for ahead of schedule. Joined by several other Commodore veterans, including David Pleasance, Leo Nigro, and Colin Proudfoot, under the banner declaring, “We did it! Commodore is home!”
With the legendary name now “in the hands of those who truly care – the community and the original employees.”, Simpson expressed that he has plans to reboot the entire thing not only for the existing retro-loving community but also for the modern consumer to do some “digital detox” and “90s + Y2K Renaissance” along the way.
Last month, the team launched the Commodore 64 Ultimate, which is a machine that blends various enthusiast projects into a cohesive product starting at $299, available in the classics of classics Beige color with more options coming in the future.
Also, the Commodore.net website is now up and running, filled with loads of info, including a part where the new leadership aims to deliver retro futurism that can satisfy the needs of both nostalgia seekers and adventurous adopters.
