Just as BIOSTAR announced their B660 series motherboards and Radeon RX 6500 XT graphics card, COLORFUL also announced their own offerings but with Team Green’s GPU instead.
The 3 motherboards revealed for this time are mATX boards which are the CVN B660M GAMING FROZEN V20, CVN B660M GAMING PRO V20, and the BATTLE-AX B660M-HD DELUXE V20. As manufacturers get to decide which RAM generation and PCIe protocol to be used, COLORFUL is packing the CVN B660M GAMING FROZEN V20 and GAMING PRO V20 with DDR4 RAM slots and PCIe 5.0 slots which are kinda weird because if you were to go future-proof, why not do it for something that is available right now instead of something that isn’t fully commercialized yet. Anyway, the BATTLE-AX B660M-HD DELUXE V20 makes more sense thanks to the pairing of DDR4 and PCIe 4.0 so you may save a bit on the motherboard and instead commit to a higher spec 12th Gen Intel Core CPU for better overall performance. But the shiny premium boards are not to be undermined though as they are given a 15+1 power phase with 55A which is still okay for most use cases. The USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 ports and 2.5GbE are a nice touch though.
On the other hand, COLORFUL also introduced a total of 3 new NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 cards in the form of the iGame GeForce RTX 3050 Ultra W OC / DUO OC – the latest guys in the Ultra White series which are a triple and dual-fan model that combines a white slate together with an aurora-like gradient to simulate some of that RGB while the one rocking a red and black aesthetic is the iGame GeForce RTX 3050 NB EX. For higher boost clocks, COLORFUL recommends the Ultra W models for better frame rates while the NB EX is going to come out at a slightly lower price while the triple fan cools the card with adequate airflow.
