BIOSTAR has introduced the EdgeComp MU-N150, a compact, fanless industrial PC built for system integrators, automation systems, edge computing, HMI terminals, and even digital signage. It’s meant to deliver strong performance without noise, all while saving space and offering wide connectivity in a rugged design.
This little box is designed to slip into all kinds of industrial and commercial setups, such as system integrators handling customer workflows, automation engineers needing real-time control, or edge computing deployments where high-speed local processing is key. The dual Intel 2.5GbE LAN, broad I/O support, and fanless reliability make it handy for HMI and kiosk systems, especially when paired with peripherals like barcode scanners, receipt printers, and card readers. And for digital signage, triple 4K display support lets it run crisp, multi-screen outputs with minimal maintenance.
Inside, the MU-N150 runs on Intel’s Twin Lake N150 quad-core processor, clocking up to 3.6GHz while sipping just 6W of power. It supports up to 16GB of DDR5 4800MHz SO-DIMM memory for smooth multitasking and offers multiple display options through HDMI 2.0, DisplayPort 1.4, and USB-C. User can also find an M.2 Key-M slot for NVMe storage, and an M.2 Key-E slot for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth expansion are all packed into its compact chassis.
Durability comes in the form of a fanless, ventless design that resists dust and stays quiet while running 24/7. At just 0.6L in volume, it’s small enough for space-limited systems, while its 12–19V wide-range DC input gives flexibility for different installations. It’s also shock- and vibration-tested under IEC-60068 standards, and can operate in temperatures ranging from 0°C to 50°C. On top of that, it comes certified under CE, FCC, UKCA, and BSMI for global compliance.
As for software, it works with both Windows 11 64-bit and Ubuntu Linux, so deployment is straightforward regardless of the platform.
