ASUS Malaysia has announced the latest RT-AX57 Go travel router, a dual-band model designed to provide users with tri-mode connectivity for various settings, featuring 4G/ 5G mobile tethering, public WiFi mode, router mode, and so on.
Crafted for flexible connectivity whether on the move or at home, the ASUS RT-AX57 packs a stand with built-in wall mounting support out-of-the-box for versatile placement even in compact spaces, alongside a sling hole for attaching the carrying cord.
Additionally, the one-click sliding switch on the router’s side allows quick activation of a pre-configured VPN connection, the toggling of the WiFi or LED light, and various customizable functions.
When using public WiFi through a wireless internet service provider (WISP), users can also create a private hotspot with strengthened security. Plus, AiMesh support allows users to easily extend WiFi coverage by adding other compatible routers to the mesh network.
The device is also packed with expected protection features found in ASUS routers, including subscription-free network security with AiProtection Classic powered by Trend Micro which offers extended defense against internet threats for users’ devices and personal data.
On top of that, it supports a range of the latest widely-used VPN protocols such as WireGuard and OpenVPN as well as over 30 VPN service providers, ensuring users can select the optimal service based on their specific needs.
