ASUS has recently announced the NUC 15 Performance model as the latest option from the mini PC family.
As per tradition, this 3L form factor is a small yet capable unit as it can go up to Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX together with NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU to power all the AI workload and perhaps some gaming on the side, as well as creative tasks and any demanding apps. According to ASUS, this latest generation will have an 18% general increase in performance over the last, as well as the ability to harness the power of NVIDIA DLSS 4 for faster image generation and access to things like NVIDIA NIM microservices to the fullest.
For display support, it handles up to five screens at once, thanks to dual HDMI 2.1, dual DisplayPort 2.1, and a Thunderbolt 4 port with DisplayPort 2.1. That’s perfect if you’re in AI development, fintech, or any role that thrives on multi-monitor setups. Connectivity also gets a big upgrade with Intel Killer Wi-Fi 7 and Bluetooth 5.4, so faster transfers, smoother streaming, and stable connections are baked in.
And because all that power needs to stay cool, ASUS went with a QuietFlow cooling system running three fans and a dual vapor chamber design that auto-adjusts based on workload, resulting in stable performance with low operating noise.
Purchase options are kind of flexible too – you can either get it as a whole for out-of-the-box deployment, or you can get a barebone at a cheaper price where you install your own RAM, SSD, and OS (which is nice for personal use). Businesses can also tap into their “no logo” service in case brands wanna slap their own names on the machine instead of the ASUS logo.
