ASUS Malaysia’s ExpertBook family of business laptops has been expanded once again, this time through the addition of the ExpertBook P3 G1, ExpertBook P5 G1 and ExpertBook PM5 G2 that offers enterprise grade durability, AI features and upgradeable hardware to students and working professionals.
Let’s talk about the similarities first – The new ExpertBook P series is about toughness and longevity for this generation, as they have been tested for everyday bumps, drops and spills, while reinforced I/O ports can withstand up to 9kg of physical force.
They are also capable of supporting up to 3x external 4K monitors for more screen estate, and they come with ASUS AI ExpertMeet that automatically capture and organize key discussion points through AI Meeting Minutes, while AI Translated Subtitles provides real-time multilingual translation – with meeting data all sitting inside the device for protection and privacy.
The ExpertBook P3 G1 is positioned as the more practical option in the new lineup. It comes with an Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and 16GB DDR5 RAM and is aimed at everyday workloads such as office applications, online classes, assignments and virtual meetings.
Rather than chasing maximum performance, the P3 G1 focuses on providing a dependable business-oriented laptop for users who need something that can handle daily work and study without unnecessary complexity.
Kicking aspects up a notch then you get the ExpertBook P5 G1 as the more premium all-rounder, as it is powered by Intel Core Ultra 7 processor and comes with 32GB of DDR5 RAM and a 512GB SSD as standard.
There is also plenty of room for upgrades, with support for up to 96GB of DDR5 memory and dual SSD storage of up to 6TB. Its 16:10 FHD OLED display supports up to a 60Hz refresh rate, while the chassis starts at just 1.29kg.
That combination makes the P5 G1 a more flexible option for users who want a portable machine now but still have room to expand its storage and memory later.
On the other hand, the ExpertBook PM5 G2 is the powerhouse here thanks to the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX processor with up to 55 NPU TOPS, giving it significantly more dedicated on-device AI capability for demanding workloads.
Memory-wise, it is given a 32GB DDR5 RAM + 1TB SSD combo, with support for up to 96GB of RAM and dual SSD storage of up to 3TB. An OLED display rounds out the hardware, giving users a higher-end visual experience alongside the machine’s AI capabilities.

The ASUS ExpertBook P3 G1, P5 G1 and PM5 G2 are now available in Malaysia through selected ASUS authorized retail and online channels.
