AMD has finally launched the latest Ryzen Threadripper line of products carrying that sweet number of 7000 promised to deliver absolute processing power.
Team Red is launching both the standard Threadripper 7000 and Threadripper PRO 7000 WX class of products this time around.
As usual, the ‘PRO’ versions carry the usual stack of business-essential and critical features like enterprise security, modern management, high reliability, and expandability. The top-of-the-line 7995WX SKU packs a whopping 96 physical cores and 192 threads with 480MB of cache which can streamline even the heaviest industrial-class applications and workloads with ease (Up to 2x performance in Chaos V-Ray according to AMD).
For the “standard” prosumer market, the best option comes in the form of the 7980X housing 64 cores and 128 threads with the cache dropping to 320MB but it is still a beastly chip. HEDT folks may also utilize the 48 PCIe 5.0 lanes to the fullest by chugging in GPUs, NVMe drives, and whatnot.
Here’s a quick reference on the specs of all announced SKUs.
