AMD Ryzen PRO 8040 and 8000 series announced; AI-enabled desktop CPUs are now ready for business-certified machines

Exciting news for business professionals eagerly awaiting AMD’s latest AI-driven desktop processors: the Ryzen PRO family now officially introduces the 8040 and 8000 series, available starting today.

While the processing power and core hardware architecture remain unchanged from the consumer version, Ryzen PRO boasts additional capabilities tailored for organizational and business use if you have no idea what it is.

Firstly, IT managers gain streamlined control over multiple systems from deployment through operations to end-of-life management. Enhanced security features, including the dedicated Microsoft Pluton security processor, fortify against cyber threats while improving software stability and reliability.

Moreover, leveraging the Ryzen AI’s built-in NPU is going to allow a decent level of generative AI capability (although not to the levels of dedicated GPU) so maybe the very typical employee from a random department can also find some use out of Copilot.
