It’s just few days away from CES 2019 and details of the highly anticipated AMD Zen2 based Ryzen 3000 series CPU has already been leaked. The Ryen 3000 series CPU was first spotted on a Russian retailer’s website E-Katalog, which includes the the following Ryzen CPUs:

AMD Matisse Ryzen 3000 series specifications

Among the Ryzen 3000 series CPUs and specifications listed, the Ryzen 9 3800X is the one that interest us the most. It features a total of 16 cores and 32 threads, which is twice the amount of the current gen mainstream flagship Ryzen 7 2700X. The CPU boost clock is listed as 4.7GHz boost clock, which is pretty high for a 16 core CPU.

Other than the Ryzen 9 3800X, you can expect some upgrade for the Ryzen 3000 series Ryzen 7 and Ryzen 5 CPUs as well if the information is accurate. Both the Ryzen 7 3700X and 3700 will have 12 cores and 24 threads. One thing about the Ryzen 7 3700X is the 5.0GHz boost clock, which is probably the first we’ve seen from AMD.

As for the Ryzen 5 CPUs, both 3600X and 3600 will come with 8 cores and 16 threads. The boost clock is looking pretty well for both, especially for the Ryzen 5 3600X. From the specifications above, we can expect reaching 5.0GHz on the new CPU clock with the Ryzen 3000 will be significantly easier than the previous gen AMD Ryzen 2000 series.
