Acronis is a well-known company that offers various services including cloud backup, disaster recovery, secure file sync and data access. Today, Acronis is opening up its API to allow customers and developers to integrate its services into their own solutions. That means third-party applications can benefit from Acronis’ extensive list of services.

Acronis Cyber Platform

The core values of Acronis Cyber Platform includes Safety, Accessibility, Privacy, Authenticity and Security of Data (SAPAS). While indeed Acronis has been providing those services directly to their customers through its sophisticated application suite. However, some enterprise customers or startups might prefer to have the services built directly into their own existing systems. Hence, opening its API will offer more versatility and directly benefit their customers.

Acronis President & Co-founder Stas Protassov shared his thoughts on why this is one of the most important moves from Acronis. By giving Developers and ISVs the opportunity to leverage on the existing ecosystem, it allows the developers to focus on developing and innovating their solutions. Not to mention it is cheaper and faster because the platform allows the customer to build up their business like Legos.

Committing to a Cyber Future

As part of today’s announcement, Acronis will be changing its product branding to reflect the growth potential cyber protection presents to the company and its partner ecosystem:
