Acer has introduced a couple of new gaming monitors where the Nitro and Predator family gets one each. Let’s find out what are those.
Starting from the new member of the Nitro series, the Nitro XZ452CU V is one heck of a display at 44.5-inch and 1500R curvature. Yes, this is a curved gaming monitor this big with an ultrawide 32:9 aspect ratio while boasting a 165Hz refresh rate with AMD FreeSync Premium Pro while colors and images are displayed with high accuracy at 90% DCI-P3 and VESA DisplayHDR 400.
It is equipped with features like BlueLightShield Pro, Flickerless, Low-dimming, and ComfyView while the Ergostand from Acer can help adjust the monitor’s position to your liking with a wide range of flexibility. On the back, there’s a 3-in-1 USB-C port that can do data, display, or charging, or everything at one time. The included RJ45 Ethernet makes cable routing much easier while the USB-B functions as a built-in KVM switch if you have that sort of need.
Moving to the Predator side, the also curved Predator X34 V goes for the OLED goodness at UWQHD (3440×1440) resolution and hosts a blazing 175Hz refresh rate and ultra-low 0.1ms response time therefore little ghosting can be found. The OLED stamp basically means a nice 99% DCI-P3 color gamut plus VESA DisplayHDR TrueBlack 400 certification. The curvature is at 1800R and has a 21:9 aspect ratio, by the way.
Gaming features include AMD FreeSync Premium and Variable Refresh Rate support on top of the good old suite of BlueLightShield Pro + Flickerless + Low-dimming + ComfyView combo.
