MSI Master Gaming Arena Pacific Championship 2016 To Be Held At Time Square in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia


MSI MGA Pacific Championship 2016 is going to kick off in Malaysia, Kuala Lumpur on Dec 9 to Dec 11, 2016! As the leading brand of the gaming industry, MSI is always ahead of others in meeting gamers’ needs. This time, MSI leveraged the world's top gamers from Malaysia, Australia, and Singapore. MSI MGA is a huge gaming eSports festival for all gamers to gather around, connecting the world’s leading game publishers and gaming teams with their enthusiastic fans an exciting and inclusive community environment. This year, for the first time ever, MSI MGA features an entire dedicated gaming arena, where attendees will have the opportunity to experience the latest VR (Virtual Reality) games and technology.

The winner of Australia has been chosen during the PAX 2016 at Melbourne, Australia. And the qualifier of Malaysia and Singapore is coming up and happening on 15th to 17th November, 2016 and 26th to 27th November, 2016. 

MSI MGA is hosted by the GamePlan team, fueled by their passion of the eSports gaming scene; their mission: to promote the eSports industry to the Malaysian community and also presenting the community to the world and the tournament will be happening on 9th to 11th December, 2016 with the biggest Malaysia mobile company - "U Mobile Game-Onx: U Dominate" event will be housing a series of exciting tournaments at Berjaya Times Square in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia.

Five game tournaments will be played at this colossal event: League of Legends (LoL), Defense of the Ancient 2 (DotA 2), Street Fighter V, Guilty Gear XRD and Naruto Ninja Storm 4.



MSI MGA Pacific Championship: League of Legends
The LoL tournaments will hold a eye-opening total prizepool of USD$8,000 in cash and prizes. The Champion will be entitled to USD$4,000 in cash and prizes, followed by the 1st Runner Up who will walk away with USD$2,500 in cash and prizes and finally, our 2nd Runner Up with USD$1,500 in cash and prizes.

MSI MGA Pacific Championship: Defense of the Ancient 2
The DotA 2 tournaments will also be presenting a total prizepool of USD$8,000 in cash and prizes. Two Malaysian and a Singaporean team will come together on 10th and 11th December to fight for the throne as champions, first runner up and second runner up. Champions will be able to walk away with half of the prizepool amounting to USD$4,000 in cash and prizes, USD$2,500 in cash and prizes for the first runner up and finally, USD$1,500 in cash and prizes for the second runner up.

MSI MGA Pacific Championship: Street Fighter V- Road To EVO’17
Street Fighter V is back once again! This time around, the winner will be sponsored a free return trip inclusive of accommodations and expenses to compete in EVO 2017. The tournament is open for 128 players from the Asian region, inclusive of Australia. A registration fee applies, where Malaysians have to pay RM 30 while international players will have to pay USD$30. 

The SFV tournament will see winners walking away with a total prizepool of more than RM3,000 in cash and prizes:
  • Champion: Full Sponsor trip to join EVO 2017 (Return Air ticket + Accommodation + USD$500 pocket money). Departure can be at any Asian countries inclusive of include Australia)
  • 1st Runner Up: RM1,000 + ViewSonic Monitor
  • 2nd Runner Up: RM500 +Gaming headphone

Open to 32 players (on a first come first serve basis) from Asian countries inclusive of Australian players, MSI are proud to present an accumulated prize pool of:

MSI MGA Pacific Championship: Naruto Ninja Storm 4
Also open to 128 players (on a first come first serve basis) from Asian countries inclusive of Australian players, the Naruto Ninja Storm 4 tournament will see players fighting for the champions who will walk away with awesome prizes!
